Arts & Sciences GLOBAL CONNECTIONS 'Costa Rica: Experiential Learning in Spanish' @ College of Health & Social Services Annex Bldg, Rm 101A

Professor Jeff Longwell, Department of Languages and Linguistics

From working with Nicaraguan immigrant children in a shanty town near San Jose, to helping reforest bio-corridors in the Costa Rican cloud forest, to picking coffee alongside Nicaraguan migrant workers, to finding out what life is like for an immigrant, to living with local host families in country, to experiencing adventure and biodiversity in all types of climates - these are just some of the items this presentation will show as we discuss what Aggies experience while learning Spanish in costa Rica. Come find out why students say that a cup of coffee will never be the same for them after traveling, living studying, and truly experiencing this country in Central America.
