Welcome to Student Records!
The Student Records office in collaboration with the departments in the College of Arts & Sciences and Extended Learning is here to ensure that degree requirements under your catalog year are met according to NMSU's academic guidelines.
Student Records works with students whose majors, supplemental majors or minors are in the College of Arts & Sciences and Extended Learning in order to facilitate proper recording of academic progress towards degree certification. The Student Records office consists of a Student Program Coordinator and Record Specialists, who will:
- Assess and certify undergraduate degrees,
- Evaluate transfer credit for NMSU credit equivalency,
- Review credit for a second language,
- Provide information about your academic standing and progress towards graduation to various campus offices such as to your department, Financial Aid, Veterans' Program, Athletic compliance, etc.
The STAR audit is the principal tool by which degree requirements are confirmed and degrees are certified by Student Records.
Keep in mind that we are not advisors. You will need to meet with your departmental academic advisor before enrolling in classes.
You are assigned to a Record Specialist based on the last two digits of your Banner ID. Please note that students are seen by appointment only.
