Dr. Lisa Bond-MaupinAssociate Dean for Planning and Academic Resources
Lisa Bond-Maupin is the Associate Dean for Planning and Budgeting. Dr. Bond-Maupin is a graduate of the University of Missouri and Arizona State University, earning a Ph.D. In Justice Studies from ASU in 1992. She first joined the faculty at NMSU in 1995 as an Assistant Professor of Sociology and is now a tenured Associate Professor in Criminal Justice and Sociology.
Dr. Bond-Maupin served as the Director of the Women's Studies Program for five years and the Academic Department Head of the Sociology Department for a year and a half. She has served on numerous College and University committees including Faculty Senate, University Compensation, College Research Affairs, and the Dean's Executive Advisory Committee. Dr. Bond-Maupin serves as co-chair of the New Mexico Juvenile Justice Commission and of the planning committee for the J. Paul Taylor Social Justice Symposium. In 2007 she was honored as a New Mexico Woman of the Year and is a proud recipient of the Donald C. Roush Award for Teaching Excellence and the College Service Award. Her teaching and scholarship are primarily In the areas of juvenile justice and imprisonment. She is the proud mother of a junior at NMSU and an Aggie volleyball fan.
