Diseases without Borders: The anthropology, Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases
In celebration of Darwin Day 2021, the Department of Anthropology presents a guest Zoom talk by Dr. Mandy Roome.
Dr. Roome is a Research Scientist at the Bassett Research Institute in Cooperstown, NY, studying infectious disease transmission dynamics and social determinants of health, with a focus on occupational health and safety. She completed her PhD in Anthropology at Binghamton University, and her research has appeared in outlets including the American Journal of Physical Anthropology, international Health, Medical and Veterinary Entomology, and the Royal Society Open Science.
