Come hear about the experiences from their Faculty-led International Program to Ireland. this nationally-recognized, award-winning course brings students on an immersive experience to the Emerald Isle where they are able to explore key topics in cultural and physical geography as well as environmental and intercultural communication. This Global Connections seminar will be guided tour through the changing physical and cultural landscape of an island in transition. Eric and Dan will discuss a broad range of topics, such as the following: The deeply meaning full Irish landscape, how place and meaning are implicated in political movements such as the 1916 Rising and the Troubles in Northern Island, the implications of Brexit for the island of Ireland, and the link between landscape and language in the stunningly beautiful County Donegal.
