Arts & Sciences Degree Certification

The Degree Certifiers, in collaboration with the departments in the College of Arts & Sciences, are here to ensure that degree requirements under your catalog year are met according to NMSU’s academic guidelines. Record Specialists work with students whose majors, supplemental majors, or minors are in the College of Arts & Sciences to facilitate proper recording of academic progress towards degree certification. The STAR audit is the principal tool by which degree requirements are confirmed and degrees are certified by Record Specialists. For assistance with semester-by-semester Academic Planning, contact your departmental academic advisor before enrolling in classes.
